Frequently Asked Questions
How does the free consultation work?
It’s pretty simple really. You fill out the contact form, I write back, and we find a time to connect on the phone for about 20 minutes so we can ask each other some questions and determine if it’s a good fit.
What are your fees? Do you accept insurance?
My sliding scale is $90-$120 per session depending on your financial situation. I do not accept insurance at this time.
What are “telehealth” sessions?
Telehealth refers to counseling sessions that happen via phone or video. I’m currently offering all sessions via telehealth.
Do you do any couples or family counseling?
I like to play to my strengths and my real strength as a counselor lies in the one-to-one relationship that’s created when working with individuals. As a result, I’m currently only accepting individual clients, but family and relationship dynamics are always welcome topics for focus and discussion.
How frequent are sessions?
Session frequency is entirely up to you. I offer both short and longterm counseling depending on your preference, situation, needs, and goals. Some people desire a regular set-aside time to focus on their life and emotional well-being, while others need transitional support through a particularly challenging time, and still others get a lot out of sessions that happen on an as-needed basis.
